Tobey Bajda is a pitcher and the co-founder of BatterBox Sports, which grew out of the love of baseball he shares with his dad, Chris. The game has been at the center of their relationship since Tobey was a little kid, from games in the stands to catch in the backyard.
Tobey put in countless hours of training and pushed his fastball to 93 mph. He and his dad have traveled across the country to Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report tournaments, where they saw firsthand what younger players want to wear, swing and carry to the field. That is the lens behind the gear and the guides on this site.
His path has not been a straight line. A torn UCL led to Tommy John surgery, and through the recovery he committed to continue his baseball career at Bryant University. Off the field, he has been building a website for tracking college baseball stats.
BatterBox Sports was born from a father and son’s shared love of the game.
