    3. John Kruk

Listen, I don't know about you, but I've never met a man who can rock a baseball mullet quite like this guy. He played for the Phillies, Pirates, and White Sox, and let me tell you, his batting skills were almost as impressive as his hair game. And can we just take a moment to appreciate that 80's 'do? It's like he took one look at the world and said, "You know what this needs? More flow." And boy, did he deliver. So let's raise a glass to this mullet-sporting legend, who proved once and for all that you don't need a perfect swing to hit a home run in the hair department.

    4. Charlie Blackmon

Let's talk about Charlie Blackmon's legendary mullet for a hot sec. I mean, this thing is more recognizable than the Golden Gate Bridge. He's been rocking that shaggy mane since he joined the majors, and it's been a key part of his success on the field. I don't know if it's the power of the mullet or what, but the dude's been an All-Star since day one. And let's not forget about that bobblehead with his luscious locks. That's when you know you've made it big – when your hairdo gets immortalized in plastic. So here's to you, Charlie Blackmon. Keep on slaying on the field and in the hair game.

    5. Dennis Eckersley

Let's talk about Dennis Eckersley, shall we? This guy was a total legend on the mound for the Oakland Athletics, helping them win three World Series in a row back in the 70s. But let's be real, his most impressive achievement was that iconic baseball mullet. I mean, that thing was a work of art. It was like a party in the back and a strikeout machine in the front. I don't know what was in the water back then, but every baseball player seemed to be growing out their hair like it was a competition. And Eckersley was definitely winning. So let's take a moment to appreciate this hair god and all the saves he had, but most importantly, that fantastic hair do that inspired us all.

Jose Canseco is not only an awesome baseball player, but he also has a super cool baseball mullet. Growing up in Oakland, Jose’s favorite team was the A’s and Canseco played for them from 1985-1989.

While he did not win many MVP awards, he won two World Series titles.

    8. Hirokazu Sawamura

Hirokazu Sawamura was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who pitched for many teams.

Famous for his long hair, Sawamura also had a mullet that made him stand out on the mound. His mullet is not only a classic now but also one of the most iconic hairstyles in all professional sports.

    9. Pascual Perez

Pascual Perez was an Atlanta Braves relief pitcher in the 1980s who often had a serious, even angry looking look on his face. But when he took off his hat, he showed off an impressive mullet.

Perez made it all the way to National League MVP in 1990 and 1991 and was elected to the Hall of Fame.

    10. Austin Davis

Mullet is a hairstyle popularized by professional baseball players, especially those with the Philadelphia Phillies.

The term was created to describe the haircut as a type of business up front and party in the back.

A prominent example of this hairstyle is Austin Davis.

    11. Pedro Martinez

Pedro Martinez, for one, is a great example of what a baseball mullet can do for a player. He was the only Dominican in baseball's Hall of Fame until Vlad Guerrero broke his streak in 2010.

Throughout his career Pedro amassed three Cy Young Awards and established himself as one of the best pitchers to ever play.

    12. Kirby Snead

The Snead is one of the most popular and recognizable styles for an athlete to sport.

It is not always easy to find a hairstylist who knows how to handle such volume and style, but with the right product, you can do it.

    13. Doug Drabek

Doug Drabek is a perfect example of one of the all-time greats who had a killer mullet. Doug pitched for many years, including 18 seasons as a Pittsburgh Pirate and seven more as an Astro.

He was featured on Michael Jordan's Air Jordan VII's box art sporting his trademark blond mullet that would make Elvis jealous.

    14. Noah Syndergaard

If you don not follow baseball, you may not know who Noah Syndergaard is. But if you do, you know he is the pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies with one of the best hairstyles in the game.

His mullet is so famous that it has its name: Thor's Hammer. The Thor Hammer is an exciting mix between a typical mullet and a combover.

    15. Gary Gaetti

Gary Gaetti is a famous baseball player with a mullet. Born in 1957, Gaetti played his entire 14-year career in Major League Baseball for three different teams.

    16. Larry Walker

Larry Walker played in major league baseball from 1989 to 2005 and was famous for his red curly mullet.

A four-time all-star, three-time Gold Glove winner, and World Series champion, Larry Walker finished his 18-year career in 2005 as a first-ballot Hall of Famer. It was his red hair that brought him fame.

    17. Danny Gladden

    18. Jorge Alfaro

This week, San Diego Padres catcher Jorge Alfaro got a haircut.

The result: the perfect baseball mullet. Alfaro's new hairstyle is almost as exciting as his home runs, making it clear why he'll wear this look for years to come.

    19. Zane Smith

Zane Smith is famous for his baseball mullet and is one of my favorite players from the 80s.

He played for four teams during his thirteen-year career, but we will always remember him for his time spent as a Baltimore Oriole.

    20. Lance McCullers Jr.

When the Houston Astros made their way to the World Series in 2017, they had a lot of fun with their hair.

One player, Lance McCullers Jr., rocked a glorious and fierce mullet.

The Astros did not win the World Series, but I'm betting McCullers' hair is here to stay.

    21. Mike Piazza

He is not only one of the best-hitting catchers of all time, but he has one of the most badass mullets in baseball history.

One great detail about his mullet is that it does not cover up his awesome facial hair.

    22. Brandon Crawford

One player who has sported a mullet is San Francisco Giants' Brandon Crawford. He has been on the team since 2008, and his mullet is among the best in the MLB.

The mustache and sideburns are just icing on the cake!

    23. Rod Beck

Rod Beck will forever be remembered for his flat-brimmed fedora, his oversized glasses, and of course, his unmistakable mullet.

    24. Mitch Williams

Mitch Williams was a pitcher for 16 years, most notably during his six-year stint on the Philadelphia Phillies.

His signature trait though was undoubtedly his mullet, it would stretch down to just below his chest, over his shoulders, and touching his back.

    25. Deion Sanders

Deion Sanders is arguably one of the greatest to ever play. He is a two-time champion and five-time gold glove winner, plus he won rookie of the year in 1989, which is also when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Though he had many highlights in his career, he is widely known for his mullet.

    Understanding Baseball Mullet

The baseball mullet is a type of hairstyle where the top and sides are cut short, while the back of the head has hair of normal length.

It was originally popularized by American professional athletes during the late 70s and early 80s. Recently, it has become a trend on various TV shows and among celebrity athletes.

Baseball players like David Price, Jarrod Dyson, Brad Miller and many others have adopted this style to stand out on TV or at stadiums.

    History of the Mullet

This baseball mullet hairstyle became popularized during the 1970s and 1980s, typically worn by more accomplished players.

It is typically worn by older generations because it was considered to be a time when the phrase manliness reached its zenith. As someone might have guessed, there are origins of this hairstyle that date back centuries ago.

The most common factor in this hairstyles appearance on the field stems from the teams of southern states and regions in which they competed against one another.

Teams such as the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees often used this haircut as a way of mocking opponents as well as claiming their territory as theirs, the epitome of manliness.

The nickname mullet came about as a result of this team rivalry between the White Sox and Brewers where many players had started wearing their hair like this.

While some people may see them as outdated or not masculine enough, others say that these haircuts were never meant to appeal to everyone but were instead symbolic of something more meaningful for those who wore them.
